Carnival

If you live in Vinaròs and you don't carnival, move to Benicarló.
Carnival is the best celebration ever! Here in Vinaròs it lasts ten days and each day there is an especific event.

It always begins on friday. In this day the Tot a Orri people go to have dinner in the Paladium and after that we walk until the 'casetas' and keep the party going there. Then, on Saturday night we celebrate the queen´s presentation, we always have lots of fun. After that there isn´t any important event until Wednesday when we celebreate the 80's night. Next day, it's the Pyjama's night. The Friday's night it's called 'The crazy night' and everyone wears a costume.

The best days of carnival are clearly Saturday and Sunday, when every 'comparsero' walks around Vinaròs in the parade. We spend a lot of time making a costume for this two days but it worth it.
The parade starts at 7 at it usually lasts two hours, sometimes more.
To parade is something amazing. You walk for hours but you don't get tired and you could stay dancing until the next day. It's a feeling that I can't describe.

Vinaròs, 50 years ago

I live in a town in the east of  Spain. My town has changed a lot over the past fifty years.

In the past the town was much smaller. The streets  used to be more narrow and the buildings didn't use to be really tall. The Vinaròs promenade used to have a railing between the street and the beach. Now we have taller buildings and the promenade is wider.

People used to walk in the fields or in the local market. Now they work in the local town shops and some people have moved to another country.

People used to travel by car because they didn't have public transport. Now we have buses and taxis.

The town is very different now. It's bigger and noisier but in my opinion life is easier.

Justin Timberlake

Justin is one of my favourite singers. He is tall and before his hair was curly and fair but now it is  more straight and a bit darker. He has beautiful blue eyes. Justin always dresses very smart. Even when he is performing, he wears a suit and sometimes a hat.

He loves singing and performing. He started his career when he was ten in a kids TV show with other celebrities like Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling or Christina Aguilera. He's also into animals. Last week he was in a zoo in Australia and he uploaded a photo with a koala on Instagram. He looked really happy!

He released his last album in 2013 and it is called "The 20/20 experience". Justin finished the tour of this album twenty days ago and I'm very sad because I couldn't go to any concert...

My second Manel concert

Last 4th of September I went to my second Manel concert. They are four catalonian boys, Roger, Guillem, Martí and Arnau, who sing together since 2007. They play folk and pop music. I like them because I think they are different and I'm a bit obsessed with one of the members, Roger, he is the guitarrist of the group.

The first concert I went  to was in Castellón and this one in Tortosa.                                                       It started at 23:30 but my brother and me were there two hours before to be in front row, I could even touch the stage! I was really excited and when they appeared and started playing I couldn't believe it!

The concert was so good and they sang all my favourite songs like Dona estrangera, Al mar, Benvolgut...At the end, we went to the dressing room door to see them left. We wait for a long time and we were about to left when suddenly the door opened and the four of them appeared. I took a photo with Roger, Martí and Guillem and I was delighted. I was freaking out about it when I saw Roger, my favourite one, alone waiting for the other members so we decided to go to take another photo. He was absolutely amazing. It was the best night of my life.
